An Introduction to Data Analytics for Auditors

This course will run 1.30pm – 4.00pm on the following dates:

17th November, 24th November, 1st December, 15th December, 6th January, 13th January 

Summary: This course will provide all members of the audit team with confidence and a shared practical understanding of data, analytics and how these apply to an Internal Audit environment.

This programme is practical and all auditors will learn to write and embed detailed data analytics tests into Audit Programmes as well as common data analysis tasks (sourcing, validating, transforming, analysis and visualisation) using Excel or an Audit Analytics tool.

Follow up (optional): A series of coaching drop-ins and Action Planning reviews for 9 months following the programme.

Who should attend:

  • All Internal Audit Analytics staff

Pre-Requisite:

  • Knowledge of Internal Audit practice and methodology.
  • Working knowledge of Excel or an audit analytics tool

Duration: 6 x 3hr sessions plus 9 months follow-up (coaching and reviews)
